Preparation for Cancer SurgeryAs I prepare for a major cancer operation I look for a place for a place of refuge - for a firm foundation, a solid rock. "To thee O Lord, I call; my rock be not deaf to me." (psalm 28:1) "Be thou a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me." (psalm 29:31) "Lead thou me to the rock that that is higher than I; for thou art my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy." (psalm 61:2,3) "Be thou to me a rock of refuge, a strong fortess to save me, for thou art my rock and my fortress." (psalm 71:3) "I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me from the desolate pits, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure." (psalm 40:1,2) "The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." (psalm 18:2) "Ye, thou art my rock and my fortress." (psalm 29:32) |
