CBN's Scott Ross - UKHello everyone, I would say it's good to be back, but because it went so well, I'm not so sure about that yet. I'll let you know. The trip was not without it's usual (or not so usual) hassles, but nothing that negatively affected the end result. The Lord directed our steps and "held me up without falling." It was a wonderful experience to work, minister and enjoy time together with Francis & Judith McNutt and their family. We also had opportunity to meet some other friends of theirs with whom we co-labored. I felt it was a real team that the Lord was pleased with and with that kind of tangible unity He responded by giving all of us a real creative flow and immediate fruit. For me, it was an answer to thirty years of prayer to go to Scotland and minister and do TV. I am a first generation immigrant to the USA, and it has been twenty-four years since Nedra and I were there last. It was good for my personal historical identity to reconnect and tap into my roots in Scotland with the Ross clan and reconnect with my cousins. I was also grateful that Nedra was there to participate. She always makes me look good and her singing had a lot of people crying. It prepares the soil for seed of the Word and as an ex-Ronette she is still famous as the Ronettes were a very big group in Europe. With my camera crew I walked the streets of London, and my hometown Glasgow, Scotland, on the street where I was born and raised. We went on a quest looking for the soul and spiritual life of those cities. I talked with people on the streets and pubs, in front of Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, and at Princess Diana's home in Kensington Garden's in London. In Stirling, Scotland, we shot at the site of William Wallace's (Brave Heart) victory over the English. I also interviewed two former homosexuals, a couple of Scottish historians and church leaders. All of this will air on the 700 Club in coming months. In terms of the ministry side of things, it was a time to "tear down and build up.". In Scotland and England there are a lot of wounded, and distrustful people, and very few leaders. An unusual amount of them falling to moral sin, including homosexuality. Masonry has a real foothold in the church too. Overall the Body of Christ is in need of real strengthening. The sheep are bruised, but the Lord is sending healing oil to bind up the wounds and impart hope. We saw many miraculous events and deliverance of captives. I was personally surprised at the number of manifestations of demon activity among Christians. Strategically, in terms of the larger picture , with the emergence of the "new Europe," England and Scotland are critical to the future of the Church in the purposes of God for the whole continent. However, the future is hopeful and challenging. As a side note, on one occasion while I was speaking to a crowd of Christians in Scotland I took an informal survey and asked the people how many of them had ever seen or heard of the 700 Club or Pat Robertson. Not one person (other than our immediate team) responded in the affirmative. Virgin territory for CBN's World Reach and anyone else who feels the call. As General Douglas Macarthur said, "I'll be back." Thanks for your prayer and your support. With appreciation, Scott Ross More Scott Ross! You can check out more Scott Ross on the CBN website at: |
